About the event

Do you have a canine candidate for the CKC Canine Good Neighbour certificate?

Want to to take the evaluation but want some guidance first?

The Canine Good Neighbour Program is offered by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).

Demonstrate the skills you and your dog have in a controlled environment.

There are 12 key areas that you will be evaluated on, from grooming and appearance to walking, all based on every day situations.

Heres a link to the 12 Key Steps. The handbook will also provide you with more information CGN Handbook.

The program is not competitive, you are marked and evaluated as individuals.

This two part workshop is designed to help you prepare for the evaluation? September 17th, you will get the opportunity to run through each item on the evaluation sheet with an instructor. You will receive tips and training on how to achieve the desired behaviour. Ask questions, and learn.

Then in session two you will review your progress and run through a mock evaluation.

Have a friend that would enjoy the training, this is great day out with a friend - you can also help each other train in the period in between workshops.

TailWaggersK9Sport with Nice Dog Scarlet will be holding an evaluation on Nov 12th.

You can find out more detail about the program at: https://www.ckc.ca/en/Raising-My-Dog/Responsible-Ownership/Canine-Good-Neighbour-Program
