Enjoying the Golden Years - Senior Dog Enrichment & Welfare

Our senior dogs have such a seical place in our hearts. They have been our best friends for many years and now as they age it is our time to give back to them.

There are so many ways in which we can help them still have a fulfilling, enrichnga nd enjoyable life. Learn simple techniqies to help your dog to continue. Learn how to manage changes in posture, how you can help your companion, cost free suggestions included.

The course will be 4 weeks with different topics each week.

Movement & Mobility - the importance of movement, exercises (activity), effects of too much/too little, how the environment can affect movement.....

Behaviour - Links between pain and behavior, what to look for, how to record information for your vet, why dogs keep going, ball throwing.......

Food Managament - use of food bowls, weight managment, why weight matters, rewards in training, treats, enrichment toys (kongs etc).......

Cognitive Function - the benefits of maintaining  and working cognitive function, Enrichment Activities (scent, food games, training activitie)......

This course is a prelude to future sessions for these wonderful dogs. 

Senior dogs welcome over the age of 8years (younger dogs welcome too - cant hurt to prepare, but priority given to the old guys)
