About the event
The latest poop on your pet’s health – an introduction to the animal gut biome
Gut bacteria are vital to your pet’s health. When balanced, they help your pet maintain a healthy weight, absorb nutrients, improve mood health, promote healthy skin and coat quality, support longevity and maintain a strong immune system. This webinar, designed for pet professionals, will be a crash course on our current understanding of the animal biome; how it affects our pet’s health; as well as state-of-the-art tools for measuring your pet’s gut biome and treatment options for correcting a dysbiosis.
Dr Debbie Boyd has been a companion animal practitioner for more than 35 years and has focussed much of her career in complementary and alternative veterinary medicine. She is credentialed in veterinary acupuncture, traditional Chinese herbal medicine, homotoxicology, spinal manipulation (chiropractic), Tui-na massage and rehabilitation therapies. She has bred Gordon Setters under the prefix Duurstede Kennels (Perm Reg) and participated in a variety of dog sports including conformation and obedience trials, agility, scent detection and tracking.
