Time & Location

Apr 29, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Howie's Training Hall TailWaggersK9Sport, 573 Lubitz Rd, Pembroke, ON K8A 6W6, Canada

About the event

Wow!!  - Dogs are able to pick up a scent within minutes of the death or years later. In some studies, they have found 25-year-old skeletonized remains, buried in an area of 300 by 150 feet.

Wow!! - Did you know studies have found that not only are cadaver dogs 95% accurate at their craft;

Wow!! - Some dogs can detect remains underwater

Interested?? This one day workshop will give you an insight into the life of a cadaver dog. The day is a mix of seminars and working practicals - take a working spot with your dog or an audit spot (neither will disappoint!).

Please be prepared to work outside (wear appropriate clothing for the weather)

Bring all your dogs supplies - food, rewards, water, toys, leashes, crates welcome!

Lunch break on the day 1 hour - includes Pizza lunch at location

And don't worry, after one day your pup is unlikely to be digging up skeletons!

Requirements

Your pup must be over 6months.

Please note dogs should be on flat buckle collars or harnesses and have a 4-6 ft leash

(No shock, e-collar, choke, prongs, martingales, slip leads, head halti or flexi/extendable leads).

Dogs must be dog to dog and dog to human friendly.

Please provide proof of vaccinations (for your dog), must include Bordatella (Kennel Cough).
