About the event

So you dog has learnt to sit. How, why? Does he only sit when there is a cookie in fornt of him?

Understanding the movitiation behind why a dog learns can help us as hanlders understand and improve our training skills and relationship with our dogs.

This course aims to cover:

Key words used in dog training - markers, cue words, poisioned cues, treats, rewards, clicker.......

Reinforcers - what they are, how we can use them, should we change them, who decides......

Explore techniques in training......shaping, targeting, luring, capturing and how we can use the different techniques in different situations.

The Envioronment !! - what is it, why is it so important, how does it affect our dogs - how can we help our dogs.

Through fun and challanging exrecises this course is aims to teach and improve handler skills, but bring your best friend along too, as he will be able to truely help you understand him!!

Pre-Requisties:

Dogs must be +6months of age

Dog to dog and dog to human friendly

House Trained 

You will need a change of footwear (for the human)

Water bowl (for the dog)

A not pad and pen !!

Cost 

Working spot  $125 +Hst

Audit Spot  $85 +HST 

Dates Feb 10th, 17th, 24th and March 2nd
