Open Dock

What is Open Dock?? - This is when the pool is rented for all, everyone takes a turn in jumpng (two jumps per dog on the dock to keep it fair for all) then you switch with the next person inline. You can go up on the dock as many times as you want. 

Sit out on a summers day and let the dogs enjoy the water.

Open dock is avaialble to anyone who has attended Avalon Range or competed in CWC events previoulsy (please state on application form).

Dogs from the earlier workshop must be deemed confident by Marie (Avalon Ranch), to be able to access the afternoons Open Dock Event.

Dogs can be of the ramp (but must remain on the ramp) or off the dock.

Welcome Avalon Ranch

Our Address is 1934 Lochwinnoch Road, Renfrew. You can park next to the Agility field (not at the house, please never open our gate), just park before the pylons to minimize driving on the grass. Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your rental and leave puromptly afterwards to afford other people to work undistracted  There is a path to walk your dog until your time starts where they can relieve themselves (on leash at all times, no retractable leashes). Please try to not let your dog pee on the Agility field fence or on the pool and dock.

NEVER INTRODUCE A NEW DOG TO THE POOL OR DOCK WITHOUT MY IMMEDIATE SUPERVISION. 

 

Things you may need:

- a change of clothes in case you decide to go in the pool and a towel

- a collar and a leash (not a retractable)

- a couple of your dogs favorite floating toys

- floating treats if your dog isn’t toy-motivated. Charlie Bears and freeze dried liver float. Make sure you do not leave treats in the pool before you leave 

- if you have a lifejacket for your dog, bring it.

NOTE: The pool can be perforated by dog claws from the exterior. Do not let dogs jump on the outside wall of the pool. 

No drone flying on the property. 

Please note our life jackets are only available for lessons not rentals. Let us know if you need to purchase one.  

WAIVER AND INDEMNITY - by registering your dog you are accepting the terms of the waiver

In consideration for the opportunity to participate in activities with my dog(s) at Avalon Ranch or at an Avalon Ranch off-site activity, I hereby release, waive, forever discharge and indemnity Avalon Ranch and each of its owners,, employees, volunteers, representatives,  sub-contractors and insurers from any and all actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, liens dues, accounts bonds, covenants, claims and demands whatsoever which heretofore may have been or may hereafter be maintained by me, directly or indirectly, whether in law or in equity, arising from my volunteer activity for Avalon Ranch including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all claims for death, loss or injury to any person or property including all damage, loss or injury to now known or anticipated but which may arise in the future.

I further agree not to make any claim or take any proceedings against any other person or corporation who might claim contributing or indemnity at law, in equity or by statue, from the persons or corporations discharged by this release.

By registering and participating in this activity with my dog(s) I agree to the above Waiver and Indemnity

Please note Avalon Ranch Pool is situated outside and amongst several acres of open fields.

The dock has gates for entrance and exit, the field is not fenced.

Based on the numbers that sign up we will book the pool for upto 2 hours (we may extend the time based on numbers).

In open dock you can jump as many times as you want you simple take your turn (customry to take two jumps then come off the dock to allow someone else to jump). 

Cost per dog $20 with workshop 

Cost without workshop $25, 1st dog +$12.50 per dog after first dog.
