About the event

Does anxiety plague your trialing career?  Tellington T Touch is a form of bodywork using gentle, non-habitual movements with the intent of activating unused neural pathways to the brain. It is highly successful for helping people, horses and companion animals, recover function after injury, for improving athletic ability, for increasing physical and mental activities and reducing anxiety.

TTouch for the Sports Environment

There are many demands placed on the canine athlete while participating in Rally obedience, agility, scent work etc. Discover how TTouch can improve your pet’s performance in the trial ring. Learn mindful and forward-thinking techniques and exercises to help you and your dog with their anxiety around the trial environment. This workshop will focus on a variety of exercises/touches to lower anxiety and to improve your pet’s posture and balance.

The TTouch Method is not simply “training” a specific behaviour, but actually providing the animal with the education to adapt, cooperatively to different situations.

Learn mindful and forward-thinking techniques and exercises to help your pet with their anxiety. TTouch is more than a form of bodywork, it is an entire way of training, handling, and understanding animals in a positive, non-threatening way. This workshop will focus on handling techniques that will help support your pet’s health and prepare your pet for Vet visits.

Working through specific exercises that will help you and your dog prepare for the trialing environment.  These techniques can be applied in multiple situations.

Learn life long skills that can assist your dog from puppyhood to senior years.

What is TTouch?

TTouch combines observations, bodywork, ground exercises, and equipment to help animals find physical, mental, and emotional balance, as a way of enhancing communication, and cooperation. TTouch can also influence behaviour and assist with health issues.

Through a series of unique bodywork, groundwork and functional exercises that will help create physical balance through good posture, relaxation and overall enhancement of trust.

One of the method’s core principles is; Change the posture, Change the behaviour.   Time again we have seen the powerful connection between physical, mental, and emotional balance.
