About the event
If you have participated in a tracking workshop elsewhere, please do let us know;
K9 Tracking; in this workshop you will learn how a dog tracks human scent, you and your pup will get the opportunity to follow pre-laid tracks under Susans guidance.
The workshop will be suitable for beginners and intermediate levels, (TDX levels may have shortened tracks to accommondate all).
The workshop may cover bush & field tracking, and will be full days. Due to the timing of this event it is not possibe to guarentee field tracks (field tracking is depenadent on the snow being gone if we have a good spring melt we will have fields - in the event that we are not able to use fields we will look to air scenting and bush tracks - or cancelling the course, with full refund).
Ther will be an approx. 1hour break for lunch - pizza lunch (or similar) included, back at facility or in the field.
Each day will have a mixed level of dogs (to gain the maximum use of the fields).
We are planning to do Saturday Urban tracking - it won’t be necessary for the dogs to be at TD tracking level in field they should have some experience or field tracking before setting up for urban…..(100ft straight and a corner).
We will contact if you preferred day is not available.
Finish time is approx
Pre-requisties
Dogs must be over 6months
You will need to have a vehicle that can navigate terrian, as we may move location several times throughout the day and drive through fields and on bush tracks. Be prepared to work out of your vehicle. Sorry, we can not arrange vehicles for you.
No females in heat , please see our policy. Even if we don't notice, the boys will!
You will need a non-restrictive harness and a long line, in +12ft (if you need guidance on this contact us before the event).
Experienced trackers - please note we want to be fair to all, tracks maybe shortened to ensure everyone gets a fair opportunity (be that field space or time).
