The fun sport of K9 Ratting - Release your inner terrier.......!! All breeds welcome! This is a fun day for dog and human!! This workshop is aimed at beginners or those wanting a refresh on the skills.

Dive into the thrilling world of K9 Ratting Trials with your furry best friend! Unleash your dog's natural skills in a safe and exciting rat-finding game. No harm to the rats, just pure doggy fun!
In this unique workshop series, your pup will learn to sniff out hidden rats, distinguish their scent from decoys, and your dog will learn to proudly alert you upon discovery. It's a tail-wagging adventure filled with learning and rewards!
Open to all pups, big or small, this 6-week intro course is eing deliever to you in three exciting 2-hour sessions on Jun 29th, Jul 13th, and Aug 3rd at 10am to 12pm.

Join us for a bark-tastic time outdoors (weather permitting), surrounded by the serene countryside.
Whether your dog is a terrier or not, this event promises a howling good time for all!
In this three -part intro you and your dog will get an:
Intro to K9 Ratting, imprinting on rat odour, this requires teaching your dog that this odour now valuable to them!!
Tube discrimination (rat scent vs. litter scent) - can you dog discriminate between rat urine and the real deal??
Two different styles of searching are used in K9 Ratting Trials and Fun matches, learn search patterns in both Barn Ratting and Brush Hunt.
Teaching your dog to alert on a specific odour - so you know they have found it!!
Adding distance to searching and building confidence for your dog to work away from you.
All while using positive reinforcement with treats or toys.
Cost:
- Working Spot (with dog): $195 for 6 hours of training
- Audit Spot (without dog): $75 for 6 hours of training
